With such a wide range of climate zones, tropical and non-tropical regions, rain forrests, and flat terrain regions, the country has many distinct animals to offer to the natives, as well as to tourists, who are looking to see animals which are native to the country.

Depending on whether the animals live only in the wild, or whether they are kept at zoos (or in captivity), there are thousands of different species of animals you can expect to see when you visit Uruguay.
