Animals in Zimbabwe

There are a number of animals that are unique to the continent of Africa. A number of these animals can be found in the country of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is full of countless breathtaking, sights. There are majestic waterfalls, sprawling grasslands, and lush forests and lots of wildlife.

Zimbabwe is also home to a diverse population of animals, many of which are some of the best highly sought after by big game hunters.

Lions are some of the prized hunting trophies. Many people from all over the world travel to Africa just to have the chance to hunt these animals.

Elephants are the largest land animals on Earth. The can be found roaming the vast plains of Zimbabwe, and are also prized by hunters all over the world. In spite of their massive size, elephants are able to run pretty fast. This can make hunting them a bit of a challenge.

Water buffalo aren't quite as large as elephants, but they are still fairly big. These animals use their sharply pointed horns, to defend themselves from predator attacks. Water buffalo are also capable of traveling at pretty fast speeds, especially when it's necessary.

Leopards are among the smallest of the African big cats, but they poses great strength. This strength allows them to carry their prey up into trees, where they can eat without being interfered by other predators. Leopards have a pattern on their fur that helps them blend in with their surroundings.

Rhinoceros are perhaps some of the most interesting of all these animals. They have very few predators, but they defend themselves with the two horns on top of their heads.
